On March 30th, Korean news Channel A reported, that actor and singer Kim Hyunjoong was caught drunk driving. Earlier, on March 26th at 2AM celebrity was caught after he fell asleep at a stop signal.
Hallyu star was on his way home in his luxury car at Songpa district, Seoul, when the incident occurred.
After the green light, the driver behind him started signaling, but Kim Hyunjoong’s car didn’t move so the driver called the police. After the police arrived and opened his vehicle, actor was found drunk and asleep. Alcohol in his blood was 0.075%, which is enough for a licence suspension in Korea.
Kim Hyunjoong told the police that he had two cans of beer with his friends that day.
How did his company address that Kim Hyunjoong was caught drunk driving?
On the 30th, his agency KeyEast (키이스트) gave an an explanation that Hyunjoong was asked to park elsewhere by the maintenance guy on 26th at the dawn.
“Kim Hyunjoong has had sleepless days, while preparing for his concert. Within that 1km distance of driving he faced alcohol test stopping from the police.”
However, he does feel sorry for his action.
“I have no excuse for drinking and driving. I’d make sure this doesn’t happen again.” He said.
Meanwhile Kim Hyunjoong’s ex girlfriend will face a trial On March 30th, 2017.
Looking back at 2014th, when the dispute about paternity and assault started between Kim Hyunjoong and his ex girlfriend.
Celebrity was accused of assaulting his ex girlfriend and making her get an abortion.
Ex girlfriend filed lawsuits against him, but actor was found not guilty due to lack of evidence.
After a while Kim has filed a lawsuit against her for fact defamation. He claims she lied about the abortion to ask for money. After a first trial his ex girlfriend was found not guilty, but he appealed and it was accepted.
This time on March 30th his ex girlfriend is facing a trial for fraud.
