On May 31, 2017 Star News reported, that K-Pop Idol and actress Uee left After School, K-Pop group under Pledis Entertainment she debuted with in 2009.

Uee shared a handwritten letter, where she apologized to fans and members of the group and also thanked them for all the years of support.
Uee wrote:
“It feels like I debuted as a freshman in After School just yesterday, but 8 years have already passed.
“Graduation seemed like such a far away thing, but it’s finally my turn.”“I won’t be Uee of After School anymore, but I’ll never forget the graduate title anywhere I go.”
“Thanks to Mr. Han Seongsoo, who has helped me make a name since my debut and thanks to all the Pledis staff and my group members.”
Uee cheered fans on “I will do my best to work brightly and with joy in the future.”

Uee 유이 (real name: Kim Yujin, born April 9, 1988) made her debut as an After School (애프터스쿨) member in 2009 and since then was active in various fields, expanding her career from an idol to an actress.
After School (애프터스쿨) is a Korean girl group with a concept of admissions and graduations, which released popular hits like “Diva”, “Because of You”, “Bang!”, “Shampoo” and “Flashback”.
After School’s latest release was the maxi-single “First Love”. Pole-dance choreography routine from “First Love” has earned praise from Billboard, that called the group “Top performers in K-Pop”
From now on, Uee will continue her journey as an actress.
Previously Uee has starred in such Korean Dramas as “Queen Seondeok” (2009), “Ojakgyo Family” (2011), “Jeon Woo-chi” (2012), “Golden Rainbow” (2013), “High Society” (2015) and “Marriage Contract” (2016).
