
BTS goes platinum in Japan.
방탄소년단 BTS (also known as Bangtan Boys) recently had their comeback in Japan with the Japanese version of Blood, Sweat and Tears. The group also released Japanese versions of Not Today and Spring Day to positive reviews from fans all around the world.

The MV gained over 5M views within the first 24 hours and the group has been promoting the single on various Japanese television shows, such as NTV Sukkiri, NTV ZIP!, NTV “Buzzrhythm” and 流派 R since 2001.

BTS held a Release Event in the Roppongi Hills Arena in Tokyo and performed the singles to a huge crowd showing the growing success of them in Japan.
They have been promoting the single all across Japan, including holding fan handshake events in cities, such as Osaka, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Sapporo.

BTS Gains Platinum Success In Japan. Recently it’s been revealed by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) BTS sold over 250,000 copies of Blood, Sweat and Tears
It’s really rare for a Kpop group to achieve this and would normally take a couple of months, but BTS have gained this achievement in a few weeks from release.
Selling 100,000 copies in Japan gains you a gold certification, but due to their growing success BTS sold over 250,000 copies, which is a platinum certification.
They recently signed with a new music company in Japan DEF JAM Records, which is a huge step in gaining more success and they joined the likes of Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Kanye West.

The group first debuted in Japan on June 4th 2014
Due to the group gaining more success in Korea, BTS went on to debut in Japan and released the Japanese version of No More Dream, which sold over 34,000 copies.
They went on to release their first Japanese studio album titled “Wake Up” on December 24, 2014, which featured songs such as Danger, Boy in Luv and Just One Day. It charted at #2 on the Oricon Chart.

Korean boy group went on to release their second Japanese studio album titled “Youth” on September 7, 2016 and it featured songs, such as Run, Fire, Save Me and Dope. It charted at #1 on the Oricon Daily Album Chart. The album sold over 44, 547 in the first day of release and went on to sell over 100,000 gaining a Gold certification.

Also, BTS is currently touring Japan with their highly successful 2017 BTS LIVE TRILOGY EPISODE III THE WINGS TOUR
Boys are currently completing a month long Japanese tour, which is going to cities, such as Osaka, Hiroshima, Nagoya, Saitama, Fukuoka and Sapporo.
It has recently been reported, that the group will be having a comeback in August and is currently in the process of writing their new album while touring.

Bangtan’s success is going global only recently, coming off from winning the Top Social Award at the Billboard Music Awards and will sure become household names in the upcoming future.
