In the year 2013, June 13, Bangtan Sonyeondan (or what we all call, “BTS”) has debuted and shook the world with their song No More Dream.

Slowly and then gradually, this boy group from South Korea begins to garner attention. However, the day that they’ve debuted as one has always been special to them; thus they make sure to celebrate it.

To commemorate their debut, they’ve annually celebrated their debut days by throwing an event what we know as BTS Festa; in which case they release ‘gifts’—photos, renditions of songs, parodies of their choreography etc—for 11-13 days. This event usually begins on June 1st till their debut day, June 13.
And so, this year—2017—BTS is already four years together! It also goes without saying that BTS has also celebrated BTS Festa this year, together with ARMYs – their fandom who trended #BTSFESTA and #2017BTSFESTA on Twitter and Instagram.
But all good things will eventually come to an end.
Last June 14, BTS has finally sent their final gift for this event; Wrapping up BTS FESTA with rendition of So Far Away by Suga Jin And Jungkook, which featured Suran, from Suga’s mixtape as AGUST D, that he dropped on last August 16, 2016.
In the original version, So Far Away capitalizes the intensity of lyrics. Suran’s angelic vocals and AGUST D’s rap complemented one another; their voices poured out the deepness, that the song wanted to convey. Furthermore, the instrumental starts out mellow, highlighting the singers’ vocals; eventually, it transpires into soft-rock.

On the other hand, BTS rendition is done by the three members of the group. Min Yoongi (aka. Suga and AGUSTD) collaborated with the two vocalists of BTS—Jeon Jungkook and Kim Seokjin. In this version, it started out strong and incorporated an orchestra version of the song, giving a dramatic beginning. The two vocalists’ harmonies and adlibs made the music sweeter, making the music a downpour of emotions.
This final gift marks the end of BTS Festa; a fitting music for the occasion, subtly telling the listeners that dreams will go on.
